Yesterday, Jaguar Land Rover’s brand new Engine Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton was officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen. It was a seminal moment for JLR, as for the first time in a generation they will be manufacturing the world-class engines that will power their world-class vehicles.
It was also a proud moment for the Squids, as over the last eighteen months we have been working with them on both their attraction campaigns and internal communications. Knowing that we have helped transform a muddy field into the most advanced manufacturing centre in the UK, feels good. And it felt even better when we were invited to attend the official opening. There was a slight sigh when the team discovered we weren’t all jumping in a minibus for a grand day out, but it was probably fair enough that Manj went as our representative (in his Porsche). Photos and live messaging from the opening was strictly prohibited, so we have no sneaky shots to share with you. Or an announcement that Manj sealed a deal to be the British Monarchy’s new agency. Instead, we just wanted to share our sense of pride at being involved in this project and helping a great organisation continue their journey to greater accomplishments.
