You. On a road trip.

With Alexa Chung
& Aristotle.

So you want to work at Pink Squid?

Wise choice friend. The truth is we’re growing really fast. So we need people who can get stuck in from the off, doing whatever it takes to produce seriously great work for all our clients.

It’s hard work, but boy it’s fun. You’ll get to learn new tricks and skills very, very quickly. And it won’t just be how to ‘snake-spin’ on the fusball table. Sound good? Then where do you want to join us?

Current Roles

When we’re looking for people, this page will tell you. But if it’s blank or none of the roles seem quite right, you could always make your own. You wouldn’t be the first.

Copywriter Intern

We’re looking for a true Wordsmith; the kind of copywriter that gets a little bit cross when they spot a spelling mistake on a takeaway menu and a little bit jealous when they see a cool bit of copy they wish they wrote. Yes, we’ll be looking for a portfolio full of big ideas. But more important is that those big ideas are beautifully executed; with the same level of craft, creativity and care shown in the banner copy as the billboards. Sound exciting? Good. Get in touch with your CV and the portfolio pieces you’re most likely to frame and hang over the mantelpiece. If you haven’t already, of course. You never know the opportunities it may offer up.

We’re looking for a degree-educated (ideally Art but we’re open to talented doctors too, who are we to judge) Designer to join our Creative department in our brand-new Squid Tank. You’re an expert in Adobe Suite and know your RGB from your CMYK. Ideally, you’ll have a strong portfolio, and a minimum of two years’ experience in an agency environment. You’re a true artist at heart but understand the practicalities of design in the advertising industry.

Art Director

Our Creative department is growing and we’re on the hunt to find a talented (and funny and witty) Art Director to join us in our new Squid Tank. We’d like you to have a minimum of two years’ experience in an agency environment and a strong portfolio, which shows not just your conceptual genius, but the hidden (or extremely visible) problem solver within you too. You’re comfortable working in a team and love a challenge, whether it’s a round of table foosball or presenting your ideas in front of a client.

Project Manager / Account Manager

We’re looking for a degree-educated Project Manager, with recruitment advertising industry experience and a background of dealing with big clients. You don’t panic when someone screams SCRUM across the room. You’re adept at leading complex multi-channel projects and have plenty of confidence when it comes to nurturing clients through your delivery methods. You will be working with others PMs, Designers, Copywriters, Art Directors and Coders. So knowing how we all fit together is crucial. Ambitious, passionate, efficient, detailed, productive, commercially minded. We won’t list all the adjectives that describe you, you can tell us the rest when we meet…

Junior Project Manager

We’re looking for a degree-educated Junior Project Manager with *drumroll* recruitment advertising industry experience, and the confidence to chase creatives when they miss deadlines. People skills are essential as you’ll be working with other PMs, Designers, Art Directors, Copywriters and Coders. You’re ambitious, productive and adaptable above all else because we’re growing, fast, and this is your chance to jump in and help us deliver beautiful projects.

UI/UX Designer

You’re a creative, a true artist and a user experience warrior. Before you even think about wireframing, you’ll be looking at statistics, creating user personnas and planning out the most efficient user journeys to get the candidate from A to B. You’ll design to a pixel level, then zoom in a little bit more. You’re able to use Photoshop & Illustrator in your sleep and you know when to transfer your designs to InVision before they go into development. Ideally, you’ll have had experience in a creative environment, where people share opinions on design and UX around the fruit bowl, and occasionally, just occasionally, need to duck when someone gets the Nerf Gun out.

Motion Editor Intern

We’re on the hunt for a fresh-faced, Motion Graphics Designer or Video Editor (intern) with a stunning portfolio to support our growing creative team on shoots and in the studio.

You will be working on a great variety of digital projects, from snappy video to eye-catching display banners, so a relevant degree plus experience across After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop are a must.

That’s enough to get your foot in the door, however an ability to learn (fast), an eye for detail and passion for your craft, will secure you both feet. Quickly followed by a Nerf gun in your hand and the chance to work across clients such as Nando’s, Mercedes-Benz, wagamama, Legal & General, Boots and many more.

Junior Digital Designer

Are you an all-round Junior Digital Designer with pockets of experience in web and UX/UI design, banner production and creating beautiful infographics? Maybe you’re looking for somewhere to hone your skills alongside a talented team in a fast-paced but fun environment? Wow. Because we’re looking for someone just like you, with killer skills in Adobe software, creating user personas and website wireframing to join us in the Squid Tank. Chat soon?
